Stools on strike

Frosta stools are familiar around the world. Nonetheless, millions of users have no idea that there was even an original. Most of people only know IKEA version. So I decided to stand up against this ignorance by making them claiming their origins.

The stool has become such an archetype that some people minimize the individual merits of the original designer arguing that as it is part of the collective culture ; it belongs to everyone while design lovers claim that the constructive characteristics of Alvar Aaltoís E60 were, and are, far too exciting not to be credited with a unique name, date and location.

Is this stool an archetype of our collection culture or a democratic copy of Artek?
